I made this card for my SIL's birthday. She is a quilter, so I thought I would try a quilt card. I just bought this retired set and since she loves flowers also, I thought it would be a good way to break out this set. To use the whole set, I had to make the card very large, it is a full sheet of paper scored in half (5 1/2 x 8 1/2") I have a Janome sewing machine, but have not played with it yet, so decided to stitch it by hand. Not the best idea I ever came up with, LOL and will be breaking in the sewing matching before my next stitched card. The sentiment is from another retired SU set I just purchased, Wonderful Words II.
I colored the flowers with a blender pen and SU water color pencils. The flowers still seemed to need something, so I used the blender pen with perfect pearls to give it the "something". I added the tiny jewels for balance. The "quilt" is attached with dimentionals.
See the other posts for the inside and close ups of the flowers.
