A little background... I'm getting ready to move to Korea this summer, so I am trying to learn a little Korean. This is my first attempt and writing "Thank You". It was written with a black sharpie.
The black background was run through the cuttlebug with the traffic folder, and the red trim was cut with scallop scissors and punched with a 1/16" hole punch.
I cut the stem free-hand. The flowers started as circle punches, then I made a few cuts and creases until they "bloomed" and attached them with gold eyelets. They are supposed to resemble the Rose Of Sharon which is the Korean national flower.
I didn't use a single stamp - which is a first for me I think. I rubbed a little ink on the edges of the stem, but that's all the ink. I'm really happy with the colors and layout. Thanks to Beate for the sketch! Blogs at Splitcoaststampers

Wow! How wonderful that you are learning Korean even before going there. Your flowers look fantastic! So does the whole card.
Thanks for playing. Hugs and smiles
