Hello and thank you for viewing my submission for today's Inspiration Challenge 122. The inspiration was to be drawn from the Boodalee Bedding website. After much perusing and struggling with inspiration (I'm tellin' you...those bedspreads just were not gettin' it!), I zeroed in on this darlin' little dog on the shelf in the bedroom photo featuring bedding from the Boodalee "Trees" collection. And I said to myself, "I can do this!" So I grabbed my darlin' little dog "Patch" stamp from Amuse and got to work! Here is a link to the photo: http://www.boodalee.com/treescollection.html
I began with several layers to the card, sponging the edges moderately to heavily and paper piercing the edges. The main layer was first stamped with a speckle background stamp by All Night Media, and then stamped with one of the tree stamps in the SU Flakey Friends set (or some other name, I can't remember). Even though this set is usually used for Christmas, I didn't have any other whimsical trees and this card called for whimsical trees, for sure. I sketched some ground along the tree bottoms to "ground" them. On the main layer, I punched a circle opening and punched another circle in white (same size) and stamped with the speckled background stamp from All Night Media, and stamped a matching tree and then stamped "Patch" the cute little dog stamp from Amuse and colored him with Prismacolor. I thought "Patch" needed to be 3 colors, rather than just black and white as pictured on the website photo. I paper pierced freehand all around the white circle after sponging the edge of the circle. I then aligned the white circle to the punched out hole in the main layer, careful to line up the tree trunk. I colored all the tree trunks with Prismacolor pencil. The SU "Giggle" sentiment was stamped on white cs that was stamped with the same speckle background stamp in Mellow Moss, and I sponged the edge of the white cs oval in Forest Foliage (although once the hardware oval frame was place, the edge sponging was hard to see). I colored the oval hardware frame with a green Sharpie pen, and attached with bronze colored brads. I embellished the card with brown & white faux stitched grosgrain ribbon tied in a bow. I chose the "Giggle" sentiment because I thought "Patch" could cheer anyone up and make them smile.
What do you think?

Love it! The way the tree is stamped across the layers. I enjoyed reading about how you decided on using the doggie. Patch might like to lay on that bedspread!
