Just got my new Cuttlebug yesterday and am having fun playing with it. This is for my Church card ministry so it had to be simple and quick, and this certainly was! I ran it thru the cuttlebug, then lightly chalked the flowers and leaves. Then I lightly sponged the background to give it a little life. I know it's simple, but I like how it looks in real life, and best of all, I can run a bunch out in a snap! TFL

Quick question for you - do you need to put a bit of versamark over the embossed images before using the pastels? Did you use the pastel applicator to put it on, or a sponge (or sponge dauber)?

I didn't use versamark... thought about it but tried for just a light touch so with a larger sponge dauber I did the pattern, so I wouldn't get it on the background. Then I sponged in lightly on the background but with a smaller one so I could get into the small spaces and used a lighter touch. TFL

Oh I thought about this, but just never got around to doing: That was then and this is now, and I'm on already! Thanks for the idea. Yes, it might be simple, but there's true beauty in simplicity. This is a beautiful card.
