Donna: It simply pops! I love it & will case it! If you're using something besides regular mounting tape to "lift it off the paper" then reply, otherwise, I think I get it. Thanks for posting!

Slide mounts are available at local scrapbook stores - they are actually what your family slides would be in. I ran a piece of SU designer paper through a Xyron and put slide mount in middle of the sticky side. Fold over the sides. Use hobby knife to cut "x" through opening, and fold over those flaps. The Xyron really helps the paper adhere nice and cleanly to the slide mount.
