I was talking to one of my sisters about the date to put out humming bird feeders here in Michigan. That talking inspired this card. I am really longing for spring. I stamped the background with Versa Mark ink and did poppin pastels using Handsome Hunter,Ruby Red, and Cameo Coral for the colors, I stamped the big flower onto GP white paper with versa mark ink twice, colored it with ruby red and cameo coral pastels then cut it out to mount onto the background. I stamped the humming bird with sta-zon black onto water color paper, colored it with an aqua brush and re-inkers. Then I colored over that with twinkling h20's icecicles for added sparkle. I taped the back of the hummer with packaging tape to make it easier to cut out and give it strength to put up on two dimensionals. Thanks labullard for the the tape tip a few years ago.

Hi Karen, my humming bird feeders go out on May 15th. There is always a hummingbird waiting too! I have been putting the feeders out for YEARS on this date.

This is a very spring time card. Love the color's.
I love Humming birds. Where in Michigan do you live?
I'm a Michigan girl. Who moved away in 1982.
Do to my hubby going back in the Navy.
Now live in Tucson, Az and love the warmer winter's.
Do get snow now and then. But not like you do in MI.
Thanks for posting your card.

Wow! You are putting your new stamps through their paces already! Beautiful springy colors! Love the background using the Poppin Pastels, the pretty dimensional flower and I know that shimmery hummingbird is fantastic IRL. Glad the tape backing worked well for you. TFS. Linda
