A call from a friend yesterday evidenced that I had forgotten she needed a card for her granddaughter's baby dedication today. Talk about a weird conversation, thanks to my failing memory...
She ask, "Did you get it done?"
I said, "Yes, left it on the pew at church where you sit. If you need help with any of the words let me know."
Small pause, then she says, "Um, ok. Is it a new design of yours?"
I said, "Um, no just arial font in 14 point to make it eaiser on your eyes. Was that a joke?"
She says, "We are talking about the card right?"
I said, "What car--- OH NO! I forgot the card!! I'll have it tomorrow morning at Sunday School!"
I'm also helping her with a list of praise/worship songs for a ladies retreat so THAT is what I had typed up and laid on her seat at church. Lord, help my mind.... Anyway, here's the quick card I put together with the help of my BigKick. Frame is Sizzix, embossed piece under the words on vellum is Cuttlebug. Thank goodness for tools that makes cardmaking easy when in a pinch! Daubed around the edges of the frame with creamy caramel to give a bit more depth. She loved it - and I'm so relieved!
