I was so excited when I saw this challenge today. I was looking at my ceramic fairies (which I've painted all of them) and was thinking I need to get my paints out again.
When I saw this challenge, well, I just had to paint a fairy!
I used soft sky as my base, then going grey, and the image was stamped in black craft ink on whisper white. The image was heat embossed with black ep. (this caused a problem while painting)
I used various hues of yellow, purple, ivory, green and blue. I love how this card came out! What do you think?

This is the Lavender Fairy (my personal fav) by Cecily Mary Barker. 1895-1973. She was a wonderful English illustrater. Her works were first published in 1923 and are still thrilling garden enthusiasts today.
I had NO idea you could get a rubber stamp of her fairies. Will have to start scouting around.
She is just lovely. You can just smell the sweet lavender fragrance on the air.
You did a wonderful job. Makes me pine for spring when I can work in my herb garden again. You've made my day !!!
Thanks for Sharing her with us.
