I made this page of my primary resolution for 2008. My daughter has high functioning autism. Sometimes it seems like I spend a lot of energy trying to change her to what I envision as a "typical" child - and that's frustrating for both of us. She is her own person - with all her strengths and weaknesses. I'm going to change my focus for 2008. As it says here (hard to see) - "I Resolve to help you be a better you, not a different you"

This is lovely. I love the way you've used the patterned paper, different alphas, and of course your photo is beautiful too! Have you checked out Technique Tuesday? They donate part of the profits from their sales to help autistic children. TFS!

This is beautiful, in design as well as spirit. My dd has behavior issues as well and we are just beginning treatment but haven't received a diagnosis yet. Thank you for sharing this, as I hope to keep that same sentiment in my heart as we help her.
