What a great surprise to see that Riley is the guest host for today's TLC challenge. She brought a fun technique for us to try called "Expressiomistic"! Riley is one of the first stamping sistahs that I met on SCS in the CC chatroom. She's not only an extremely talented stamper, but a fun friend to get to know! Thanks for the challenge, Riley!
I used the very first BG stamp that I bought, SU Hearts and Swirls to try the technique. I first inked it with SU Pixie Pink and then "misted" it. I stamped the image, leaving the stamp on the CS for a while. Then I let the BG image dry and stamped over it with SU Pomegranate. I softened the edges by sponging SU Soft Sky
I masked the main image and then sponged sky and grass. The mouse is stamped with SU Basic Grey and colored with SU markers, reinkers and an aqua pen. I cut it out and mounted it onto the sky/grass BG. The main image panel is mounted on Pixie Pink with dimensionals.
I finished the design by adding some paper piercing, American Crafts ribbon, SU silver diamond brads, and a tiny swarovski chrstal for the flower center. The heart is filled in with stickles.
This card will be given to a friend who I recently became re-connected with after 20 years. She's one of those special people who is kindred no matter how long it's been!

This is so sweet Christine! I love that you used a background stamp for the technique. I have yet to mount my new set but sure am ready to move on to valentines. Merry Christmas my friend, have a wonderful Holiday!
