I used the masking technique for this card.
I first stamped the pumpkin using markers to ink the stamp for the different colors, then placed the mask over it and stamped the flourishes in an olive green. I used chalks to color in the pumpkin and stem. I cut out the oval and inked the edges with green. I then cut out an oval to mat it with and used scallop edge scissors. I know they have nice oval and scalloped oval punches out there, but I don't have any yet, so I improvised.
I glued two coordinating pieces of patterned paper to a beige card, and adhered a ribbon in the middle across the seam. Put pop dots on the back of the oval, and place it in the center of the card. Stamped 'thanksgiving' on the bottom portion in dark brown, and added gems to the flourish.

Wow, this is a great card!!! I have to tell you how impressed I am that you used decorative edge scissors on your oval....I've always made things look awful with them and thought they were unusable...you've done a great job, I'd never have known it wasn't a scallop punch. Beautiful card!

I favorited this card a while ago....I was cruising through my FAVs and went back to this one. I still love it; in particular, the swirls, the softness of the pumpkin and the little BLING. You just gotta have a little bling.
