This is a card I made for last week's color challenge using Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron and Real Red. I wasn't sure I was happy with it, as is with many of my creations, and I didn't get rave reviews with my homefront critics (DD, DH and DS), so I decided not to upload it. Then, something funny happened over the last week; it kind of grew on me. So here it is:
I stitched around the TT CS with red embroidery thread. Then, I tried to create a quilt of sorts with my SS and RR CS after running it through the Cuttlebug (my new best friend). I crossstitched each square and then "quilted" my watercolored images to the squares. I stitched star images to the corners and added some buttons and Crystal effects.
Hope it grows on you too!

A real cutie. Neat job on the stitching...just makes it so special. Has a down home feel good feeling about it.

I think it looks great!! Love all of the stitching - kind of reminds me of an old fashioned quilt!!! Hey, and as for critics on the homefront... well, what do they know???? I have to sons , 22 and 17... a card is neither nice or not nice - - just a card!! DH likes everything, so that is no help either... Never ask what the homefront thinks!! ;)
I'm totally glad that something funny happened to you last week. Otherwise, we wouldn't have the chance to see this wonderful card. It's just cute as a button!!
