When I saw the Weekly Inkling tutorial on Genie bags, I knew I had to try one right away, but the only bags that I could easily find were plain old brown lunch bags. Well, I wanted them to be the "right size" for a card front to fit. They weren't...too wide...UNTIL, I thought, "well instead of making a tall, skiny bag, I can make a short, wide bag." And if you make a horizontally oriented card and cut it in half, it is the perfect size for these bags. My whole reasoning in wanting the card to fit was that I wanted to use them for a make-n-take. I think the bags are adorable, but I knew some of my customers would think, "now what am I going to do with this bag?" So if I designed one project that could be a bag or a card, they could choose which they wanted, and there was no extra work on my part! It worked wonderfully; half the ladies chose to do the bag and the other half chose the card.
I CASEd stampcrazzzy's card (be sure to click on the link below to see it) for the layout. I had already picked the colors I wanted to use and her card uses similar colors, so it was perfect. TFL!
