It's made out of canvas.......11x14 is that large one and the smaller ones are 6x6. I painted the canvas with brown paint, but I suppose any color that would match the paper you choose would work. From there, I just started adding paper. On the big canvas I used one sheet of 12x12 paper from Hobby Lobby and then one sheet of 8.5x11 (celery) for the "Family" part, which is printed off the computer. I stamped the celery paper with Finest Flourishes using chocolate chip ink, I stamped off first on a few. The hearts are made with the Cricut - George fonts and shapes.....one is from the SU chipboard set. On the tag, which is also SU chipboard, is a quote about family...I can get that for you if you are interested......I think I found it on quotegarden.com. There are smaller flowers on the large canvas, those were just cut out from the various patterned papers I used for this project. As for the other three canvases, again, just started with a square piece of patterned paper form Hobby Lobby, I believe it was 5.25x5.25, then covered the remaining parts with solid paper and matching patterned paper. To cover the seams, I added those little strips of paper. I used little tags (SU chipboard) to stamp my children's names. I used the aged copped hardware on that tag, and then put a piece of ribbon on that as well. I also used the computer to print out the little nickname things along the side of their photos. I antiqued the edges of anything I could too....I just love that chalk stuff. I used that tacky tape for adhesive. on everything. To attach all the canvases together I used eye hooks from Home Depot and tied them together with ribbon. A nail is all I used to hang the canvas...there's a lip on the back of the canvas so it works nicely. Hope this helps, and hope I didn't miss anything. BTW, I normally would have made this using SU paper, considering I am demo, but I was on a weekend get-a-way at the Scrap Inn, and I was away from home and didn't have enough matching paper to make it. :(
Oh, I forgot to mention that I wanted to be able to change the pics......so I used velcro for the pictures, this way I can change them whenever I want.
