My coworker, who is a dear friend of mine, and a journaler/poetry writer, was recently given the bad news that her cancer has returned and the outlook is not good. I found this 8 1/2" x 11" striped notebook at Target and figured the colors would go great with the new Apple Cider paper. I attached the Jersey ribbon onto the inside back cover with a covered chipboard piece over it for a bookmark. I didn't put ribbons on the spine because I wanted her to be able to flip the front cover to the back for easy, flat writing. Oh, the notebook was only $4.99! I think she'll like it. I'll add a matching pen for her, too. Also, I was inspired by a similar notebook in an older PaperCrafts magazine.
