Hi! My new PaperTrey stamps and Spellbinders Nestabilities just came yesterday. I wanted to make a quick card before bed last night. This is only a practice version...messed up. My holly is upside down and not centered but I played anyway because I got the embossed frame just right Nichole had mentioned in her blog that SU markers color wonderfully on Kraft paper. She's right! It's definately a more blended effect. I tried my Sharpie paint pen for the white, but I guess I just don't have the knack yet. I didn't like it. Sooooo, I went with the Signo....
I used Ellen Hutson's Copic Spica markers on the berries. They are a glitter pen made with bits of glass for sparkle from the way I understand it. You can't tell from the pic but the berries look cool!
I wanted a simple one layer card for my first one. I'm on vacation today so maybe I can play and get one just right for you!
Thanks for looking!

Oh my! I had no idea you could do that with the nesabilities. It looks fantastic. Also the copic marker sounds very cool! Where can you get it? I think this card looks pretty darn good for a 'mess up'!

I LOVE the embossed border! I've not seen Nestabilities before--but I'm guessing (after looking at them online) that you embossed the outer edges, then flipped and did the inner edges? Is that right? I think I need to get these if I can figure out how to use them with my BigShot!
