I know this is supposed to be a HAPPY card, but it just is not! The whole time I was making it the phrase *lost at sea* kept going through my mind, and I was gently reminded of some of the losses in my own life. I think I get this way if I get up too early.
Now don't worry, I really am a happy person, but now and then I do reflect upon these times in my life and this morning was just one of those times. I am SURE it partly has to do with the fact that the 1 year anniversary of my breakup with DB of 10 years is on August 26th. And there are aspects of him that I do miss. And I feel that this card is a way for me to express those feelings. Am I gonna send it to him, Heck no!! but it was good therapy for me to think about the loss of the relationship and stamp about it.
Thanks for being my therapist, you guys are the best!! ((((HUGS)))) Nancyruth
I stamped the BG on soft sky with blue bayou and soft sky shells, and then stipples it with IBB in river rock. The lighthouse was watercolored with the ink pads mooshed onto their lids and picked up with the aquapainter. TFL!
It is hard to see but there is a tiny message in the bottle that says, *I miss you*..... pass the kleenex please...
insert music by the Police....
*Just a castaway, an island lost at sea, oh
Another lonely day, with no one here but me, oh
More loneliness than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair, oh
Ill send an s.o.s. to the world
Ill send an s.o.s. to the world
I hope that someone gets my
Message in a bottle, yeah
Message in a bottle, yeah*

Your story is touching and I hope creating this beautiful card and posting it made you feel better. At times, sharing with others is what it's all about when melancholy sets in. TFS

Wow... you put everything into this card and it is beautiful, well thought out and really neat down to the "message in a bottle (I LOVE the Police)." Thanks for sharing a part of you with us.
