This tin was made for my daughter's girlfriend. It's a pamper yourself kit to celebrate her becoming a woman. (Yes, she got her first period!)
I had watched Dr. Christine Northrop (sp?) on public televsion awhile back. She was talking about mother-daughter relationships... Anyway, she had talked about our attitudes about our bodies and how our bodies are affected by our thoughts and how to give our daughters good attitudes about their bodies...
When my daughter joined the woman world, I gathered all of our girlfriends, took us all out to eat at her fave restaurant (Olive Garden), gave her a paint can loaded with bubble-y bath goodies (and a necklace) and told her to pamper herself! Her daddy even brought her a giant bouquet of flowers!
Of course her friend's mothers though I was a goof ball! But, let me just say, while Elsie's friends all suffer miserably, my Elsie breezes through her cycles and only "suffers" the chocolate cravings!
Anyway, Miss Alex loved her tin loaded with goods from Bath & Body Works!

What a great little gift! Sometimes it's hard to have open communication about these things! When you can make light of these things and talk about them, it's not so scarry. Congrats on having a great open relationship with the girls!
