A card I made for a newspaper reporter that wrote a story about me when I helped a cow (read the newspaper story here: http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/93130). I had the Blue Ribbon idea in my head so I made the ribbon by cutting 3" strips of grosgrain, folding them in half and glueing with fabric glue. Then I took all of those pieces and glued them around the back of the circle stamp "Congratulations on Your News". The word "news" was perfect for a newspaper reporter, but the word congratulations?? For what? LIGHT BULB IDEA: I'll write a story about the woman who wrote a story about ME. LOL So, the inside of the card is a newspaper (a Posh Impressions stamps from loooong ago) with a front page article that reads:

Hayley Ringle, a reporter for the East Valley Tribune is named “Reporter of The Year” for her “Lonely Cow Mooves To Help Kids” story in the July 12th edition of the paper. “When I herd the news, I was so mooved”, she told Kathie McGuire in a phone interview. “I cud not be happier”. Congratulations Hayley! We think as far as reporters go, you are “Out-Standing In Your Field”!!

With the help of a Stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped the newspaper image on top of the paragraph that I typed on my computer. OK, so I know that's corn-y (pun intended) but she just loved it and that's all that mattered! And through it all, I found it was very enjoyable to be able to increase my vo-cow-bulary!!
