TLC123 challenge to use something unexpected on a card.
In days past, ribbons, brads, buttons, primas were unexpected things on a card. They still are, to people who don't 'do' cards. Hopefully my unexpected item on this card is unexpected by SCS'ers too. :-)
I used a maze toy party favor on my card. The package I purchased had sports-themed backgrounds. Ugly ones at that! Fortunately, they were made of cardboard and were not glued down. So, I removed the cardboard backing and traced around it on cardstock to make a new back. I was careful to set the metal ball aside until I reassembled it with a new stamped background. I used tacky glue to hold it together. Then I glued the 'new and improved' maze to the card.
These mazes are great for get-well cards. Think of how boring it is to be stuck in bed sick. This card is both a get-well greeting and a diversion!
I got the idea to use a maze from my demonstrator years ago. The mazes come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and you never know what will be available for purchase at any given time. My package had largish mazes. Smaller ones are more adaptable to cards. I chose to use a flower theme and bright colors because I think they are cheerful.

can't see the card yet, but just from the thumbnail and your description this sounds totally awesome!! Did you glue the maze onto the card itself, so they can just turn the card to do the maze? What a neat idea!!
