well...here is my story......I started with the idea of tiling.......I used a rainbow juicy pad to ink the grid tile and then overstamped it in gold metallic ink......when first stamped, it looked fabulous with the swirls of the bkgd stamp I used.....as it dried, the swirls seemed to disappear.........tried it again.......same thing....oh well.....IRL know that there is still a hint of swirls in the grid. I then went with the rich color of ruby red and turquoise which, somehow, came from the IP. Looking back, I'm not quite sure why.....LOL. Since my swirls weren't showing, decided to pick up on the swirls with the image from Carte Postale.....which I embossed in gold emb. pwdr. Then I just matted it, added brads and voila....my card.............really nothing like the inspiration piece, but totally motivated by it......!!!!!

That turquoise really makes your card pop!! I see swirls in your tiles. Should I be worried that I do since you said they're not showing? *grin* I also see the inspiration that that piece gave you. I too used some turquoise and red in mine. Beautiful card!! Very classic!!!
