Although Tosha used a Penny Black cat image and that is what drew me to the card, I chose to use a penguin. Tosha's panel with torn paper and ribbons 'mending' it make me think of bandaids, so I decided to make a get well card.
I kept the layout the same, but I changed the dimensions of the layers a bit to fit my stamps. I changed her ribbon and flowers to a bandaid image. I changed the colors to coordinate with my designer paper. To make the texture on my panels above and below the main image, I used my color spritzer tool and I sponged a bit more ink on it to make it coordinate with the designer paper. I stamped, after stamping off once, dots on the sentiment panels and I dragged the edges over an ink pad to make them look more like bandaids. I left off the brads, since I didn't think my card needed them.
Penguin image was colored blender pens and and ink pads and the blanket was paper pieced.

This is just too cute!! What an awesome idea to *mend* the tears with bandaids. And to make the sentiment look like them too. I love this clever, clever card!! Thanks for playing!

This is adorable and a great case. I hope you don't mind me
casing it. I have this stamp set and it makes such a cute
get well. Thanks for the inspiration.
