Here's another card for my stamp club for May...I was planning this one before I found out that Roses in Winter was going to retire. A friend of mine is getting married in July and her colors are red and black, so that was the jumpstart for the color scheme.
The roses are stamped with Cameo Coral for a base, then Ruby Red stamped off once for the middle and Ruby Red for the smallest image at full strength. I stamped each one twice, turning the image, so that the roses would be fuller. The leaves are done with Sage Shadow (just re-inked, so it's rather dark) and Handsome Hunter, and I did the fill-in flower in Barely Banana. The sentiment is embossed with gold EP on vellum and placed as an overlay on top of the roses, held in place by gold narrow organdy ribbon.
Since I did a black card base, I put a white insert on the inside so that you wouldn't need a white pen to write in it. I used the roses from Watercolor Minis to decorate the inside, using the same colors as the larger roses on the front. The card opens from the top.
