I was disappointed at first too. If you looked at one of the other cards I posted (it was mostly pink), I had used a Fiskars plate on that one too, but it didn't look as good. The deep emboss on this one is due to the fact that I got the Wizard Charm Embossing Kit that was recommended on the Cuttlebug thread. In hindsight, now that I've gotten it, I would go to the home improvement store and get the rubber gasket instead. That is the part that seems to make the biggest difference. The Wizard Charm embossing kit has rubber pieces that are smaller than the size of the Fiskar's plate, which is what I really like! Also, my sandwich went like this:
Cuttlebug A base
Fiskar's Plate
Cardstock
Tan rubber thing
Black rubber thing
Cuttlebug B plate
I would just use 2 pieces of rubber in place of the tan and black layers above and I think you'd be happy with the results. Incidently, I did not mist my paper in the above sample.

Great card. Not sure what you meant about Rubber Gasket at home improvement store. Called store, they don't know what that is. Can you be more specific. I live in CA. I tried Fiskars with mouse pad, didn't come out with strong imprint either. Can you help. would love to use these plates just unsure how to get it right. Thank you!

Well, I read on the Cuttlebug FAQ post (in the tool talk section) about using the Fiskar's Embossing Templates with the Cuttlebug, and it was suggested to buy a Plumbers Gasket (or maybe it was a shower pan liner). Check that thread and they will tell you for sure. I haven't actually seen one myself, so I don't want to mislead you!
Good luck, and let me know how it works out for you!
