I absolutely loved this card, (Bling-Bling-Bling!! by Lee Conrey at Splitcoaststampers) so I tried to do the same thing with a little twist. I'm not in love with mine as I am with the original, but I've never had so much fun/madness making a card.
1. Didn't have anymore SU Black EP, so I reached into the bottom of my stash and found some that has a DOTS label. It honestly has to be pretty close to 15 years old. It sure didn't emboss-in fact, it melted INTO the paper.
2. I ordered some adhesive gems from ebay, but of course they don't magically appear the second you've paid for them, and I couldn't possibly just wait to make this until they got here. So, I went to Michaels. I found the most amazing person to assist me. He was literally covered bald head to crop-panted shin with all sorts of tattoos. I was a little reserved about asking him where to find the gems. He seriously dropped the stickers that he was stocking, asked what I needed them for (fabric or paper), flourished his arms, and told me to follow him. I kind of giggled when he asked me what I was making. I was so excited about this silly set that he told me he'd like to see the finished product.
I ended up in the bead area and picked up some mini glue dots because the gems he picked out weren't adhesive.
It only took a few minutes, but I'm seriously thinking about sending him a thank you!
So, the card may not be excellent, but the overall experience was FABULOUS!!!

Love the colors and the layout. Glad you had a great experience at the store!
