I was drawn to the 4 fabrics in the 'butterfly sculpture' and to the colors. So, I stamped two of the backgrounds, sponged stripes onto another, and left one plain orange. I was not going to use butterflies at all, but after making the four backgrounds, I realized I needed something for them to be a background behind. So, out came the flutterby. I put him on vellum, and added a sentiment. The vellum softened the intensity of the Only Orange and Yoyo Yellow, two colors that I find hard to use.
I used a sentiment from my old 'Funky Favorites' set, since it was nice and curly, like the butterfly antenna.
Brads are embossed with orange craft ink and clear powder, since I didn't have the right color of brads.

This is such a great card - wonderful idea using the vellum to soften the brighter colours. I love how you made all of the bg's, I thought you were using DP!

This is so cool Alice! I had a thought along the same lines originally, but mine took a different turn. I love your color blocking with the patterns and the vellum overlay!
