I seem to be in a stamping slump/lost my mojo and I just wasn't liking this card I made the other day, Joyful Birthday . I was browsing the gallery when I discovered a new weekly challenge: Featured Stamper . You are supposed to copy a card from the feautred stamper's gallery, changing a few elements. After I looked thru this week's stamper, Notimetostamp's gallery, I noticed this Romantic Valentine card to be very similar to mine but I liked some elements of Notimetostamp's card better, so I re-did mine!
I stamped the Well Worn Words background in Rose Romance craft ink and while it was still moist, I pounced Rose Red chalk onto the background to achieve a two-tone mottled effect.
In the challenge, you are supposed to change two things about the originator's card, so since I didn't have a charm like Notimetostamp used, I just tied the wide organdy with silver cord. I moved the Prima flowers over closer to the sentiment and used a different color scheme and all different stamp sets!
I still like Notimetostamp's card better but am a lot happier with my re-make!

I remember this card the other day -- you had that new tab punch on it -- I thought it was a great card -- but I like this newer version as well!!! I love the Craft/Chalk technique, and glad you explained it -- looks very cool!!! I don't play with chalks very often and really never know quite what to do with them!!! And I LOVE your Delight in Life main image panel -- just gorgeous -- thanks much for playing -- I am HONORED!!!
