I recently made some sympathy cards for H.A.N.D.S. - this quotation had been saved in a file for a long time and I was reminded of it when I saw it in another SCSer's signature line (sorry I don't remember who and there may even have been more than one). I used my HP Deskjet 6540 to print it on vellum (the vellum may have been colored; it was from a pack of pastel colored vellum and I ran out of the clear).
So, I wanted the card to have stars so I punched some out (MacGill punch?) from very thick, textured cardstock purchased a long time ago at Michael's. I had matching brads - could not believe it!
I clear-embossed the panel to which the stars and sentiment are attached and edged it with a Krylon (copper or gold?) Leaf Pen. That was layered onto Basic Black which was then adhered to Apricot Appeal.
Details about H.A.N.D.S. and an ongoing effort to collect sympathy cards for the bereaved parents can be found here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers

The BG behind the stars is really scrumptious! Love that star paper too.
