Now this was a really fun project and this stamp set was just perfect! I used Stazon ink to stamp the outline and then colored the images with a special glass and ceramic paint that I purchased at Michaels. Once you bake the piece it can be used for food, washed, etc. You do need to cover the black outline of the stamped image with the paint or the line disappears over time. The paint seals the entire piece. I again made these for a craft fair and they seemed to be well received!

Hi...
How long do you bake it? Do you have to coat it in clear? You said the black lines disappear over time...but you say it's safe to eat with and such after you back it...?
Thanks for your help.
I used the Pebeo Vitrea Glass and Pottery Paints. These are water-based transparent glossy colors for glass, metal, or pottery. Colors can be mixed. I purchased a kit that came with a little white tea pot (I'll post a photo of that today) for painting and 4-5 paints. However, you can also purchase the paints separately. Baking directions as follows:
Allow piece to dry for 24 hours, then back for 40 minutes in a 325 oven. My directions said to allow the oven and piece to completely cool before removing.
When I did a quick Internet search to find the name of the paints I used I came across info on Delta PermEnemel Glass Paint and the description said this was an air-dry paint that was diswashing and food safe, no baking required.
I found that the StazOn wore off if I didn't adequately cover the outline of the image with the paint. The paint acts as a sealant and you do not need to cover the piece with anything else once it's baked. I do use my bowls (I made a frog bowl, very cute, but some of the lines have disappeared because I didn't cover well enough with the paint. I'll post a photo of that later today as well.) for food without any problems I think it's also dishwasher safe but I haven't risked that, just wash by hand.
Let me know if you have any other questions - thanks!!
