This card is for my mom - we have a long-standing family joke about a fake monkey mom bought and has hanging in her house on a long vine. Becuz the joke has gotten funnier each year, I decided to make mom a Christmas card with a monkey on it! Window is actually a door stamp which I modified to look like a window. Everything is hand stamped except the scene outside the window which I cut from a magazine, and the monkey which I printed on the computer. The monkey, bows on the garland, rocking chair and gifts are on mounting tape so they pop out. Wall and rug are scrapbook papers. Christmas tree balls are just holes punched from red & green paper. Thanks for looking.

Forgot to mention that the garland over the arch of the window is made with the single pine branch that is just stamped over & over & over again with 3 shades of green markers. I just cut an arch shape, stamped it then cut out!
Again, thanks for looking.

Wow, what a time consuming card this must have been! I'm sure your mom will love it!
Isn't it funny how those weird little things can turn into family traditions/memories? Our family has this UGLY blue glass chicken that is similar to your mom's monkey. TFS

Awesome job! What a lot of work...but well worth it! I just know your mom is gonna love it!! And I had to chuckle, because I have two monkeys hanging from a vine in my office....my office is a jungle/safari theme, so it fits! hehe

I bet she'll keep this card forever. My mother had a butt-ugly ceramic Victorian boot that my aunt made for her. I'd love to find a stamp with that on it!
