I made the base for this card many months ago when I first learned how to make explosion cards, then it languished in a drawer until I moved down to Texas and needed to make a birthday card for a party we were invited to. Of course, all of my crafting stuff was still in boxes so I happened to this card base and a kit of store-bought embellishments in the first box I looked in and decided to go with it.
I am really quite happy with how everything pulled together so nicely! When the birthday boy's parents opened the card, several folks gave an "oooh!" sound which was really gratifying. The striped paper is from The Slab 5, the grey cs is from a dollar store pack, and the stars were cut from Fiskars Bright cardstock using a Fiskars shapecutter. The star stickers were from a calender I purchased when I was in grade school (yikes!!), and the remainer are vinyl, foam, and CS stickers from a card kit I picked up at Michaels.
Thanks for looking!
