I was thinking of sending this out for Christmas this year. Can you give me hints on what I could do to improve it. I have never made my own Christmas cards but am thinking of being a demo in Jan and want to get my foot in the door.
The card is white with a burgandy backing (the white opens). I sponged burgandy around the edging of the card. I outlined and colored the star gold & used a gold ribbon with burgandy eyelets to tie the gold in. I used the dimensional dots to raise the shepherd boy.

This is going to be your recipients' absolute favorite card. It is absolutely beautiful. How many are you going to make? If it's a lot, your fingers are going to be sore from all the detail cutting. (But the card is beautiful.)

Absolutely gorgeous! Can I be on your Christmas card list? I agree with Tinnalee that if you are going to make lots, you may want to simplify it a bit. I make 75 or so each year, so I don't think I could do so many of these. But you are a mother of 6, so that already makes you a better woman than me!!! LOL. I get over-whelmed with 2! Anyway, they are very beautiful and anyone would feel special to recieve one of them. Thanks for sharing.

This is fabulous. The boy and sheep cut out is my favorite part...very eye-catching. You have really done a wonderful job on this card. Thanks for sharing it with us!

This is absolutely breathtaking. It brings tears to my eyes because my daughter who is now 22 learned that poem when she was in the 2nd grade and my mother who is not with us anymore loved to hear her say it! Good luck in your endeavor. Anyone who receives this card will be truly blessed.

Thank you for all the very kind comments. It was a nice thing to wake up to. The sponging did not scan very well. I make about 100, but if I cut a few every night it should not be too much at all.

Hey, sis. Thanks for letting me see what card we are getting this year! Can't wait, they are really nice. Maybe you can get your older kids to help make your own assembly line.

I would be thrilled to receive this as a Christmas card--I really like this set and the burgandy color is a nice change from the traditional red and green. I'd say go for it! If you're starting this early and pace yourself, it sounds as though you'll be finished with time to spare. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for sharing. I have been a little creatively stunted (?) when it comes to this stamp set but this card just pops off of the page. I hope you don't mind if I CASE!!! I don't think we will have the same people on our Christmas lists!!(tee hee)
