I got some new stuff last week and this is the first thing I made...I've had Lovely as a Tree for a long time, but I just got Brocade Blue ink and paper and this idea popped into my head.
First I sponged white ink on the Brocade Blue cardstock, making it heavier at the bottom and lighter towards the top, and I sponged Brocade Blue on starting at the top and working my way down. Then I stamped the tree over and over, first with Brocade Blue but it wasn't showing up well enough over the white, so I stamped more with Night of Navy. I had to clean my stamp every time because it kept picking up the white ink even though I'd let it dry overnight before stamping the trees. Maybe next time I should do the trees first and THEN sponge the ink on. I could NOT get the silver cord to cooperate with me and stay on top of the grosgrain ribbon for the scan.

Gorgeous!! I love these colors together. I love the idea of sponging the white over it; going into my favs for sure. Thanks for your great explaination.
