My favorite images during the Christmas season are those that depict the birth of Jesus. For me and my family the birth of Jesus is central to the Christmas celebration. God's gift of Jesus is truly the gift that keeps on giving.
I rolled the Rough Textures wheel in Cranberry Crisp ink over and over the Cranberry layer to give it heavy texture. In this way, I attempted to mimick the coarse texture of the clothing that might have been worn by ordinary people. The love definition background symbolizes God's great love for his children. In contrast to the rough texture of the cranberry layer, the gold symbolizes royalty. Jesus was born in a humble setting among the animals in the stable. However, the night He was born, a host of angels lit up the sky with songs of praise as they appeared to the shepherds. Completely man, but also completely God. King of Kings and Lord of Lords!
