The Inspiration photo for this card is in the first post of this link: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
I played off the colors, swirls, flowers, round shape that reminded me of the round areas of a Buckeye butterfly, the leaves that reminded me of this thistle flower and the dot formation which inspired the gems. That’s about it as you’re saying “oh shut up already”! Oh I forgot - the plate is round so the scallop scissors were the perfect choice
I did some shading on the white panel edges. All panels but black are stamped with Linen. I colored with watercolor crayons and aqua painter. The gems are adhered with Diamond Glaze. Squiggle lines are freehand and done with gel pen.

Very interesting, I like it alot. I like your coloring of the buckeye butterfly and the free hand suiggley lines as if they were sewing threads. I will have to put this in my favorites to fall back on. Thank you very much for sharing!
You were really firing on all cylinders with this--cool how you used the HPP in the corner with the gems and the squiggles just carry on the design. That thistle flower is a great image for this too!! Really like your interpretation!!

Rox, Your coloring on your flowers and butterfly is gorgeous. I feel like I could pick the stem right off the screen. How wonderful your take is on the challenge.
