I recently got a pile of fabulous vintage-look collage papers and when I saw this vintage-y card from Cristena I knew I wanted to use them to make a similar card:
I started with a premade khaki card base and layered on a vintage print paper which I topped with a scrap of text pattern paper from a Recollections Christmas pad. Over that I layered a strip of corrugated coffee wrap and added a pink ribbon on top of that. I used a scallop die to cut out the image of the woman and cut a light beige piece of cardstock with the next largest die. The cardstock did not have enough contrast with the background of the vintage image, so I brushed the edge with crumb cake ink. I hated to waste the rest of the image (original was 3/4 length with a fabulous skirt on the dress) so I used the smallest scallop to cut out some flowers from the dress skirt and used the next size up to cut a background from the same light beige paper, which I also brushed with the crumb cake ink. I glued the two scallop pieces together and folded a scrap of the pink ribbon and glued to the back of the embellishment. I attached the larger scalloped piece and the smaller using foam tape. I finished with some gem stickers, a scattering of light pink gems and a small clear "diamond" gem for the lady's earring.
Congratulations to Cristena on being Featured Stamper and for your inspiring gallery, I hope your week was awesome!
