I made this card for todays sketch challenge but as I finished the card, after a considerable time, I realized that I am missing too many elements from the Sketch Challenge. Oh well.
The card started with a die cut and then I put some dungeons and dragons fabric scraps that had been fused to interface behind a die cut of a dragon. I had to run the dragon die cut twice to get both pieces of paper to work right. The dragon is a bit puffy like a quilt.
Once I had the dragon the card seemed more like a tome to me, so I made some paper hinges with the cricut and turned the card into a tome. I tinged the hinges with some distress ink to weather them.
The card came out cool but doesn't meet any challenge criteria. I really like the hinges idea and will have to try it some more in the future.
Thanks for looking.
'D20' is a gaming system and also the name of one of the dice in Dungeons and Dragons, which inspired this card in a round about way.

It's wonderful. You need to remember the sketch is only a basis, not the end all. Post your card. I love the dragon and the great colors!

Very cool, Brian. I have a bunch of D&D fans who would love to get a card like this. Fun. Hugz
