And how many of these beauties did you make? Wow, a lovely gift from you to her. Yes they surely have changed, as have the thank you note part, which I'm not happy about. Last two weddings I attended, I received a photo collage, no mention of a thank you or the gift.
Anyway, welcome to uploading at SCS! Glad to see you here! I hope you check out the daily challenges on the homepage or in the forum....something for everyone. Any questions, click on 'help' at the top of the page or 'forum', then scroll until you see 'start here.' Hope to see more lovely creations soon.

These are gorgeous. Is that Vellum over the top? Also do you do your own wax seal stamps? I Love Wax Seal stamps I just can't find many occasions to use the ones I have. Very very nice invitations.

Wow, that was surely a major challenge to find a design that both of you were happy with and then make it! Those are classy looking invitations. Welcome to uploading at SCS and I hope to see more of your lovely work in the galleries!

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments!! This project was truly a gift of love.
I made 160 invitations. My granddaughter had me on a very tight deadline, and we encountered several challenges along the way.
The jacket is made of a marbled vellum that was discontinued. I bought every piece I could find in the Tucson area, and my daughter and granddaughter scoured the stores in Austin and Greensboro, North Carolina To find rest. I had just enough to complete the project.
I bought the wax seal to match some of the leaves in the card design. I also bought a silicone mat designed with wells for the wax. It turned out to be a lifesaver, because the seals were more consistent in size.
I was running out of time, and three of my card making BFFs suggested we meet one afternoon to assemble all of the cards.

Classic and elegant design and beautifully done. The wax seals add a whole other element of beauty to the invite. To know the invites are one-of-a-kind and were lovingly made by grandma -- priceless! Great job Grandma. Congrats to your granddaughter and her fiancé and best wishes for a long and happy life together.
