Well, the two in the pile at the top were the trials I did last night between after work and cooking dinner. I could not fit all those elements on the branch in a way to play well together in my head. ( leaves, blooms & Cherries) I did notice that trying to paint something with so many elements on a card front sized piece is probably part of the problem is the scale when you see her hands that painting was twice to 3 times as large as the pieces I tried to paint on. So, when I came home today I decided to try it again with softer colors, I think I finally got some petals that kinda sorta look like what was shown but, There just does not seem to be room for dangling fruit and full sized leaves in what I started today. I think this may be the hardest thing I have done this week ha ha. thanks for this challenge Kia & tfl.

I sure can't tell it was hard because it looks beautiful and so natural for you to paint. I love the blooms and cherries plus the leaves are great. For some reason, I usually tend to paint small.

Awe-inspiring!!!!! This is something I struggle with many times on the videos we give for the challenges. Some are done for the smaller A2 size cards, but many are for larger paintings. The three smaller paintings you did are OUTSTANDING. Thanks for sharing this issue with us. I find that using smaller brushes helps me keep the size smaller. Great take on this challenge.

It's all a matter of scale. Small painting = small brushes or excellent quality sable brushes that come to a fine point. Great depiction of cherry leaves which are finely veined with serrated edges.

The one with just the blossoms is to die for.....I like that you went for variety. Blossoms and cherries don't really belong on the same branch as blossoms become cherries eventually. I think all your pieces have a lot of merit and I'm faving this because I think you have some lovely ideas.
