Looking for the good things and the joyful things in my day has been a daily family practice since my girls were in their teens. One of the things that is a good thing of my day is when I take the time to craft. This evening I made this card for today's Mix challenge and Free for All challenge.
I started by ink blending distress inks onto the Bristol smooth paper. I used the gold mirror die cut as a rough outline for my ink blending. Then I adhered the die cut and used my Prismacolor pencils to add shading to my rose and leaves.
I heat embossed the sentiment, added five sequins for my five dots and finished by punching the top right corner for some fun added detail.
Thank you for the challenges and thanks for looking!

Catherine, this is so lovely. That metallic gold die cut was a great choice and love all your sponging. Hugz

Your rose is so pretty and I love the gold mirror paper around it. The corner is really pretty with the punch out. Beautiful birthday card. I agree crafting always makes a day better.
