The alphabet challenge for this week is J. Here we are in Japan - finally.
It has been such a long wished and planned trip for me to go to Japan. I nearly made it!! 2020 and Covid had other ideas. Suitcases packed and ready to go. My flight was cancelled a few days before Australia went into lockdown. Perhaps one day there might be more plans but with the world in the mess it is in at the moment - much safer to stay closer to home.
I stamped and embossed this Dove Art Stamp before colouring it with Derwent Inktense Water Colour pencils and highlighting the flowers with some gel glitter pens.
Hope you enjoy the trip to Japan - if only on paper this time.

Your Japanese Geisha looks beautiful, Helen, wonderfully coloured as always! I had a Japanese pen friend through my teens/early 20’s, I don’t remember how we came to stop corresponding with one another in the end. She used to send me lovely gifts. BTW, thanks to you, I have just purchased a couple of Woodware Craft stamps!!

Just perfect for Japan. Helen you know how sad I was you didn't make it to Japan. As you know, it is a country that we love and have visited twice and intend to go again. Our youngest son marries in 2 weeks and will have his honeymoon there. At present 2 nieces and a nephew are there holidaying. It is very popular from Oz at present, so I hope that you do get there.
Your card is beautiful. Happy day from a very warm and muggy West. Hugs

My husband's been to Japan on an archery related trip but I haven't made it yet. Your image is gorgeous. You have such a light hand with colouring and make these images come alive. I love your backgrounds too.
