My destination is Grandma's House. Grandma crochet many items, but I do not remember seeing granny squares in her house. She started me with crochet using the simple chain stitch. Grandma made a lot of quilts and the way this design is laid out, it was much like piecing quilt blocks together.
I left the greeting off of the card so it can be used for anything. The set came with the word Hugs both to be stamped and a die to cut it out. It would work well for a thinking of you, sympathy card, or even a birthday card.

Lisa your quilting is amazing and I did read offline about your struggle with the stencils but wow you mastered them. Beautiful card and looks like fabric. I used to crochet and knit in my 20s and recently got the stash out to start again. I'm hopeless but do find it relaxing. Happy day and hugs

What a beautiful "crocheted" afghan, Lisa. Fun card! And how fun to have your grandma teach you to crochet. I still need to learn how to crochet -- my daughter was starting to teach me but then went off to college. Fabulous granny squares!
