I used the same layout and kept the floral theme for the image square. I started with a printed premade card and cut a strip of royal blue cardstock and glued to the card front. I added three orange brads to the blue strip. I die cut a square and rectangle from white cardstock and stamped the flower parts on the square and the sentiment on the rectangle. I cut the next-larger square and rectangle from a scrap of orange-peach patterned paper. I inked the edges of the white rectangle and square with the starry Sky inkpad to add more contrast between the two layers, then glued them together and attached to the card front.
I love how a card from way back in 2006 can still inspire me to make my own version of it today -- it's a classic layout and design, Leslie! And as a CAS design, I am also adding it to the recent CAS birthday card challenge.
Congrats on being the Featured Stamper, Leslie, hope it was a fun week!

I love the graphic feel and the flower against the grid looks great. What a happy stamp and it looks very happy indeed in this layout. Great colors to send a festive greeting to a great friend. Wonderful card.
