Light, fluffy snow has the ability to trap sound, which is why it can be so silent after a snowfall. Heavy, wet snow doesn't have that ability. There are little spaces between the fluffy snow that trap sounds.
I thought it would be appropriate, since Sherri is a scrapper, to use Club Scrap products, meant for scrapbooking. This new set, called Shades of Winter, has some beautiful papers that really yelled at me to 'buy this!' I've always enjoyed their stamps so that has been my focus; this set had no stamps but I couldn't resist. This is what I cased: Baby its Cold Outside by Oscar T. Grouch at Splitcoaststampers
Club Scrap does these 'cut-aparts' with sentiments. I used the main paper that caught my attention for the base, mounted on a metallic off-white and a border strip. Silver embossing powder was used to accent the edges and there are three layers of ep on the snowflake. The snowflake came from a tag in the kit. A whole bunch of little silver stickers were used to add some detail. What really got me was there were two little knit hats as part of the kit, one shown here. The other one is blue.
Enjoy your week, Sherri. Beautiful work!

That hat is soooo cute and works so well on this pretty card, Jean. How great you used papers that nod to her love of scrapbooking.
Also love the little science lesson you gave us about snow too. Fun.
