Glued wood paper to card base. Fussy cut feathers from a digital print, and highlighted with copper paint pens. Cut down an embossed panel also done on the wood paper, and lightly rubbed with brown ink on a dauber to bring out the design. (I NEVER believed you could use an embossing folder on this wood paper without it cracking, but someone here on SCS led me to a youtube video that showed you could!) Layered the embossed panel onto copper metallic cs, put the bird onto the panel and mounted on the card. Fiddled with the fussy cut feathers until I was satisfied, and then stuck them on.Glued the sentiment to the card front and finished with some small copper corner stickers (and I had to audition several designs of corner stickers until these made me happy).
I'm sure my photography skills do not do this justice, but IRL there is a distinct wood grain on the paper. It is not printed on, it really is actual wood.

Ido believe I have some of that thin wood paper (in my own right, apart from DH's marquetry kit which he still thinks he is going to use sone day). So I can imagine how lovely this is. The copper bird looks fabulous on it - I like the idea of wood and metallic. Just had to check where you were sending this and relieved that it's State-side.
