This card is for the Alpha Challenge B. It is also for the Tuesday Teapot Challenge.
I chose Belgium as my location for the Alpha challenge. I visited Bruges in Belgium in my 20s. My memory of Bruges is mainly of the beautiful architecture in the main square and lace. I bought a small piece of lace for my mother at the time and wonder what happened to it. They also have delicious chocolate but I did not have an image for chocolates.
I used lace stamps from two sets to create my card, and whilst going through my stash found this fun image. It may be a little risque but I love her lace stockings. This lady is full of fun and attitude. Love Marlene paper craft images. Inside the card will have a positive message, still to be determined, but probably to do with shining brightly.
I found the piece of rose and lace fabric in a box I had forgotten about. Time for another clear out in my craft room!
At the last moment I added a chipboard feather which I had painted with my sparkly paint at least 2 years ago and bling. It reminded me of Moulin Rouge and perhaps I should have kept this card for P and Paris
TFL. Happy day

Jayne, lovely to see a card of yours in the gallery! What a fun and fabulous card it is, love all the lace elements and your risqué madam looks terrific, especially with the added feather!

Jayne good to see you back and crafting, gorgeous lacy background for the lovely lady, great colour on her outfit.
The edging lace is pretty and the blue roses.
We’ve been to Belgium and Bruges quite a few times and I did sample the chocolates!

Amazing colouring! I would have thought of Brussels lace, but I guess it's like Ireland where many towns had their own special designs. Great lacy background and the perfect snippet of real lace to add. Good to see a card from you.
