For a loooong time Iâve been watching and admiring those watercolour Wednesday ladies and wanting to join. I made a couple of failed attempts due to bad paper, at least thatâs what Iâm going with! This Wednesdayâs tutorial was so pretty-thanks, Linda-and Iâd been working so hard to organize my room, I needed some creative time. Iâm a decent copier so I stayed pretty close to the tutorial colours and donât mind the final outcome, but boy, do I have a lot to learn, and the primary thing is to let that thing dry between layers. I had more bleeds than a stuck pig!! Have a lovely Thanksgiving. Ours is long over, as it happens in October!

Ink: Creamy caramel to stamp image, ColourBox white to create bokeh effect that failed miserably with the watercolour technique because of my lack of skills LOL

Paper absolutely definitely makes a difference - speaking not as a watercolorist myself but as someone who used to distribute Winsor & Newton, Canson, Arches etc. If I'd only known how much I'd use twenty years later I'd have stashed far more Arches at staff discount! I do find the less good stuff works great for smooshed backgrounds for die-cutting.
And if you're new to WCW, I can only say wow! This is absolutely gorgeous.

Just gorgeous!!! I don't want to hear one complaint from you about how something didn't work right or you couldn't do something. I LOVE it and love the background with all the light from the candles and the bokeh along with the greenery and berries is fabulous.

Michelle, you made me laugh with the 'stuck pig' comment. lol. I love how this turned out!! It's absolutely gorgeous!! Your 'bleeds' give this scene softness and the glow from the candles is just perfect! You are quite the watercolorist!! Love it!!
