My daughter was given the beautiful teacup in the photo and asked for a thank you card with a teacup on it. I decided to die cut a teacup and teapot from white card stock and then stamp them similarly to the gifted teacup.
I thought a gatefold card would be fun so I made my card base from Balmy Blue card stock. I didn't have any So Saffron card stock so I made some with my inkpad direct to paper...I think I need to re-ink that pad! I stamped the pretty little flower sprig from Tea Shoppe in So Saffron on those panels too but they don't show up very well. Re-inking is definitely needed! But it does add texture in real life.
The teapot and teacup I die cut twice for some strength and then I stamped them. I added part of a doily below the cup and the silver spoon. The teacup and teapot are both popped up with foam tape and adhered to opposite sides of the gatefold. The final touch was to add the gems between the teapot and teacup.
My daughter really liked the card and hopefully the recipient will too! Thank you for looking!

Wow! What a gorgeous teacup! I can see why she was so excited! I don't collect teacups but if I did, that would be the first one on my shelf! You did a great job on the thank you card. I see you matched the colors if the cup!

Catherine the teacup is gorgeous and so is your card, my Grandma and my Mum always drank tea from cups like that one, wouldn’t drink from a mug, ever, no wonder your DD was excited to receive it, what a kind lady.
