This week's watercolor challenge was to grab a real leaf and watercolor it. I have never done this so this was fun!! I grabbed a hibiscus leaf and put it inside my leaf die cut and then inked around the edges of the leaf. I was hoping the Distress Waterclor Pencils would work on the leaf and it worked perfectly with water and a paintbrush. You literally just put your brush into the water and then put it directly onto the pencil and watercolor. Very easy!
Had to add some purple plaid, it's all I could find in my stash of Fall papers. LOL

Your watercolor leaf looks great and I like it on the die cut leaf. Love the plaid paper and I think purple is great for mixes of fall colors. I thought this was a really fun challenge, also.

A very pretty cas card done with this technique. Like how the leaf looks inside the larger leaf. Thanks for playing this week and giving us this beauty.

Great designing here! Love that you framed your leaf impression with a die cut leave and the blue makes it pop. Lovely card, Sherri. Hugz
