This is for FS865 and Annette aka fauxme is our featured artist this week. Congratulations, Annette. You have a lovely gallery. I was inspired by DTGD23bailmac Snow Front by fauxme at Splitcoaststampers. I was intrigued by the snowy cabin scene and kept that as my main theme. I used a piece of snowy cabin designer paper for the background to replace the stamped scene. I kept the same basic blue and white color combination with the addition of the brown cabins in the paper. I added a die cut cabin with die cut trees and snow layers. The trees were cut using navy cardstock, painted with white gesso and sprinkled with clear glitter. The sparkle doesn't show well in the photos.

I love how the die cut cabin and trees add both a focal point and texture to that beautiful dp. What a creative design. It's a winter wonderful card for sure. Fabulous.
I saw this card featured on the SCS Facebook page today.

Serene and loving that background paper! I don't experience real snow very often, but scenes like this make it appear to be such a peaceful and beautiful sight!

Kittie, this is really wonderful! I love the idea of a cabin in the snowy woods and the brown is beautiful with the blue tones! I need to see about acquiring some of the pretty DSP!
